Giving Thanks

Since Thanksgiving is tomorrow I thought I would do a special holiday post. I have seen the posts on facebook all month about people talking about what they are thankful for.

The first thing that I am thankful for is my family.

My mother has the kindest heart that I have ever known and I am privileged to know her, learn from her and love her. She has taught me to never give up on anything, to always believe in myself. I am a better person for knowing her.

My father is the hardest working man I know and I love it when he gets excited over stuff. He taught me my love for reading and writing.

My sister is a mixture of my parents, very kind and extremely hard working. She has an inability to be mean to people that I envy.

My brother and his ability to always have fun and be totally over protective of my sister and I even though we are older than he is.

I am thankful to my brother’s fiancé, for making my brother happy and coming into his life just when he needed you.

To Cheyenne because you remind me of my younger self, and I always want to bring out the best in myself so I can be a good example for you. Remember to keep smiling.

To everyone else in my family, because family is what keeps me going all the time. I love you more than anything even if we don’t see each other all the time. Know that I am here for you even though we are spread out all over the country.

The second thing that I thankful for is my friends.

My best friend Erin who was the first friend that I had when I came to Tennessee, I will never forget the day that I met you. I don’t think that I could have survived school down here without you. Thanks for always putting up with my crazy idea’s, for listening to my stories and giving me feedback. Thanks for not being afraid to say “yeah that sucked”.

To my friend Derek, you are completely different from me and you help me see things through other people’s eyes. You give your heart away completely to people and I know that you really do have a great heart and personality even if you try to hide it.

To my friends Hayley and Tiffany, each of you made me love coming to work. Thanks for listening to “story time” all the time and dealing with the crazy way my mind works and jumps around all over the place. Tiffany: thanks for being patient and kind words. Hayley: thanks for your enthusiasm and trying to write the story for me.

Thanks to all three of my Guest Bloggers! Tessa, Erin, and Alex, it means the world to me that you would embark on this crazy ride with me.
Thank you to all my friends I left in Michigan. You guys made high school great for me, and even though we don’t talk all the time I still appreciate the times we do get to talk and the once a year we get to see each other. I wish you guys all the luck in the world.

To my friends at JCP 2529. It was a really great honor getting to work with you all for 2.5 years. I miss all your smiling faces and great personalities. Hopefully I will get to visit soon.

And last but not least thank you to my dreams. Seriously, I know you can’t really listen to this, bit my dreams are what keeps me going. I get to wake up every day and do something that I love, I get to read some amazing books, I get to write these crazy stories that pop up in my head. I am extremely fortunate that I have been so blessed so far with the progress on this site. So lucky that I have been able to meet some really awesome authors who were so nice to me and put up with my nervous rambling. I am so grateful that a lot of you have been gracious enough to let me be part of your blog tours and for doing interviews with me even when you aren’t on a blog tour. Thanks for supporting my dream as I support yours. Thanks for all the great advice you give aspiring writers and for telling us about your struggles to become authors.

And obviously a HUGE thanks to all of YOU! You guys are the ones who let me do what I love to do, what I have a super fun time doing! I hope that I don’t disappoint any of you as the site continues on and I keep bringing bigger and better things here.

I hope that you all have an amazing holiday! Have fun with your families and friends!
