Hey guys! I’ve been super busy and haven’t been able to do much of anything recently besides school and my internship, but I wanted to throw something up here. Remember that totally awesome notebook my parents bought my for my birthday? I loved that notebook…well apparently so did my dog because she ate it. Yup. She tore up the leather on the cover and shredded the paper. I was very angry with her, but she is the best example of puppy dog eyes and I couldn’t stay long at her for very long.
Then a week or two after that I sat down one Saturday afternoon finally having gotten a moment to actually read! I picked up Fragments by Dan Wells and I was so excited to dive into this book. I get about 50 pages into the book, set it on the couch to get something to drink, come back and the book is missing. Where did my awesome book go? Well my dog had dragged it off the couch and into the other room and had proceeded to eat that book as well. The funny and kind of creepy thing is that somehow she took off the jacket first and didn’t harm it. So if I put the jacket onto it you can hardly tell that she ate it (with the exception of ruined pages). I wonder if she thought she was going to be clever and put the jacket back on and sneak it back onto the couch while I was looking lol.
Needless to say, I haven’t been able to do much reading at all and I miss it! I miss being able to get lost in these awesome world and go on a journey with these characters. I am about 1/3 of the way through my internship and I am hoping that by the time I am halfway done it will calm down. I also think once I am finished with my summer course I’ll have more time to read as well. From what I actually got to read of Fragments it was amazing. Dan Wells is such a terrific writer and Partials was amazing so I am super excited for this. I got a $10 gift card to Barnes and Noble for my birthday that might just be spend buying me a new copy of the book so I don’t have to carry around a half torn one with dog slobber all over it.
Anyone else have dogs that have decided to destroy your books?
Did anyone else see this???
The director of the Between Shades of Gray film adaptation sent some storyboards. Take a peek at this one. pic.twitter.com/rbpQhLuLu2
